James Hopkins joined DBS in January 2011 and is an internet marketing specialist. James’s focus is to drive traffic and enquiries to our clients’ websites through social media and content marketing.
Since joining DBS he has helped to develop our social media department.
He studied History and Politics at Lancaster University, where he stayed for a further year to study for an MSc in Management.
Before working at DBS, James worked in the City of London as an Investor Relations Manager, and then worked as Marketing Coordinator at Millfield School, a leading independent school in Somerset.
Originally from Somerset, James moved to Lincolnshire to be with his university sweetheart and they got married in June 2012. Their first child, Alexander, was born in February 2014. James and his wife love animals and have a dog, two Siamese cats, several chickens and one rabbit. They live in an old farm cottage which they are slowly renovating together when they have the time!
In his spare time James enjoys travelling (in the UK and abroad), going to the gym, going to the cinema, theatre (although hasn’t acted since his university days!), good food (both cooking and going to nice restaurants), and spending time with friends and family. He has a strong interest in current affairs and plays an active role in his local community, having previously served as a local councillor.
